The Regional HR Unit provides a range of strategic HR analysis, direction, and support to Country Offices in their implementation of NRC policies and practices. The position of Regional Learning and Development Adviser will lead the regional work on Learning and Development, working both with leaders at the Regional and Country Level, and ensuring that regional approaches are aligned with the Global Learning & Development strategies and activities being developed by the Global Talent Management Team in Head Office.
In 2022, the MERO Learning and Development Strategy has been developed and will span over a period of three years to be fully implemented. The ambitious strategy will require an extensive amount of work to put in place the processes and practices; create or update the initiatives; coordinate with Country Office HR or L&D Focal Points; and follow up and report on the rollout and implementation in consultation with the regional team and global learning and development unit.
Job Purpose
As the Regional Learning and Development Adviser, you will work in collaboration with the Regional HR team and the country offices under the regional office to develop and implement strategy and activities on talent management and staff learning and development whilst ensuring that regional approaches are aligned with the Global Learning & Development strategies and initiatives. You will also oversee and follows up on the rollout and implementation of the MERO Learning and Development Strategy.

Duration of contract: Fixed term 12 months, full-time, renewable, in accordance with local labour laws.
Grade 8 in NRC’s grading structure
Travel: 20% to Middle East Countries of Operations
Reporting line: Regional Head of Human Resources
