Organizational Context and Scope

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Media and Communications Officer, and in close coordination with the heads of departments, the incumbent will work in the Partnership and Coordination Unit and will assist with managing social media accounts as well as production and editing of content to promote projects and activities as well as carry out communication activities and provide overall support to the unit work.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Assist in production and postproduction of audiovisual materials including thematic videos, photos and promotional materials for dissemination through social media and other communication channels.
2. Assist with the production of infographics, factsheets, brochures and data visualization to promote projects and activities while ensuring consistency with IOM branding.
3. Update the IOM Jordan website and ensure wider media usage, including Twitter and Facebook, to ensure better visibility of IOM and donors.
4. Gather audiovisual content by conducting video interviews, taking photos and recording videos of activities, events and beneficiaries.
5. Participate in providing  creative ideas to enhance outreach and draft communication campaigns and storylines.
6. Ensure IOM Jordan external communication is in line with humanitarian principles, IOM branding guidelines and donor visibility requirements.
7. Support the Media and Communications officer with the development of communication tools and the translation of content when needed.
8. Perform other duties as requested by the Chief of Mission and Media and Communications Officer.

Education & Experience:

• University Bachelor’s degree in studies in communications, multimedia, design or a related field from an accredited academic institution with minimum two years of relevant experience; Or completed Diploma/Secondary school, Certificate in related fields, with minimum four years of relevant professional experience.
• Fluency in editing software such as Premiere Pro and other Adobe editing tools.
• Experience in videography and photography.
• Experience in developing campaigns and content creation.
• Experience in working with media agency.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Lightroom.
• Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Languages: 

Thorough knowledge of English and Arabic
