OverviewAs an Application Engineer specializing in Downhole Impact Tools, your primary role will be to provide technical support and expertise in the application of downhole Impact tools used in drilling and completion operations. Assist in the selection, design, and optimization of tools for specific well conditions and objectives.Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, challenges, and goals. Develop customized solutions and provide recommendations on the use of downhole tools to enhance drilling and completion operations.Tool Design and Optimization: Work closely with engineering teams to contribute to the design and development of downhole tools. Provide feedback and insights based on field experience to improve tool performance, reliability, and efficiency.Testing and Evaluation: Coordinate and participate in field testing and evaluation of downhole tools. Analyze test data and performance results to identify areas for improvement and recommend modifications or enhancements to ensure optimal tool performance.Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate tool specifications, performance characteristics, and application guidelines. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, tool performance, and test results.Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal teams and clients to enhance their understanding of downhole tools, their application, and best practices. Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies related to downhole tools.Troubleshooting and Support: Provide timely and effective troubleshooting support to clients and field personnel to resolve technical issues related to downhole tools. Offer recommendations and solutions to ensure uninterrupted operations.QualificationsExperience & EducationREQUIRED Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree is advantageous.- Strong knowledge of downhole tools used in the oil and gas industry, including drilling tools, completions tools, and well intervention tools.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesREQUIRED Experience in the design, application, and troubleshooting of downhole tools in oil and gas wells.Proficient in relevant software and engineering tools used for downhole tool analysis and design.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, engineering teams, and field personnel.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and make data-driven recommendations.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to downhole tool operations.PREFERREDJD Specific
