Job Description
Planning, organizing and coordinating, budgeting, improving and cost control for Continuous Casting.

To assist Steel Making Plant Manager in all technical areas related to CCM to ensure smooth plant operations are carried out in a timely manner to achieve corporate goals in association with EAF/LF. Works to ensure conformance to Rolling Mill satisfaction

Directly work with CCM standard-setting boards, and other standard setting bodies to ensure that they are aware of and give due consideration to issue

Develop guidance, resources and tools in collaboration with member bodies that help promote and build the capacity of SMP to deliver high quality accounting, assurance, and business advisory services.

To plan and propose accurate annual budget required to effectively implement the corporate operational plan. To effectively manage requirement of production within the allocated and approved

Budgetary provisions that ensure cost effectiveness. Assist in the preparation of budgets and analysis of budget-to-actual results as well as materials for Board and Council meeting

Responsible for resolving any critical technical/logistic problem related to the CCM section.

Develop suppliers CCM spares and consumables to minimize lead times and optimize stock aimed at optimizing production cost

Assist in building and maintaining relationships between Sections and a range of external parties such as CCM member organizations, firms and others as appropriate.

Develops work instruction and operational standards and ensures that all employees within the section adhere to the work instructions to guarantee a quality job.

To build and ensure availability of motivated work force to carry out the activities of the CCM section. Maintains an optimum organization structure for CCM Section to ensure the maximum utilization of resources.

To impart knowledge building trainings to sub ordinates so that overall growth of the section is ensured.

Helps in building safety related work instructions and ensures that all safety features in the section are working. Implements company policy for enforcing safety regulations clean and free of any obstacles/ encumbrances to sub ordinates

To coordinate training for NDP trainees

To participate in company meetings and seminars to share and exchange knowledge.

To plan and coordinate with Procurement to develop potential suppliers for the tools and consumables required for the CCM Plant to support uninterrupted availability to production

Minimum Qualification

In-depth technical Knowledge of steel casting and associated equipment’s of the casting plant

Around 10 Years in a Steel Plant as a Head of Casting Plant or 20 years as a Casting Plant Supervisor

Around 10 Years with a mill producing steel

Bachelor’s Degree holder
