External representation and communications : Level (5) -Interpersonal contact is regular and varied – both oral and written. It involves negotiation, influencing skills, and representation of SC Jordan’s position with senior level representatives including governmental level decision makers, donors, wider alliance and global SC community. Exemplary level of spoken and written English. -Significant impact on the reputation and performance of the organization

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE: As a member of SC Jordan’s Senior Management Team, the Media and Communications Manager shares in the overall responsibility for the direction and coordination of SC Jordan’s work and ensuring alignment of messaging and media communications with Save the Children’s strategy at the national, regional and international levels. The Media and Communications Manager in his/her capacity is responsible for providing leadership to ensure excellence in SC Jordan’s public and private facing media and communications on our work across our thematic areas.
