About Your Job:
Lead the digital product pod to ensure regular release of product enhancements and fixes on schedule, in line with digital product priorities and standards. Ensure all pod members understand their role, contribution and that they are equipped and able to deliver
Key Responsibilities: Lead one or more assigned cross-functional digital product pod comprising of engineers, UX/UI designers, QA and other specialists focusing on quality and delivery of new digital product features. Define digital product pod sprints’ scope based on pod’s backlog, digital product priorities and pod’s available capacity. Manage digital product pod activities around feature release at the end of the sprint including sign-off and initial monitoring to ensure release performance is in line with expectations. Organize sessions to establish UX, UI, back-end deliverables for sprint. Ensure delivery is in line with standards and expectations by conducting UX review/feedback and demo sessions to wider digital teams/management. Identify risks, issues and technical challenges by encouraging the digital product pod to proactively report these, and work with other business units within Finance, IT and Commercial to remove blockers or pull in additional specialist support temporarily to help do so. Understand the overall digital product roadmap and priorities, as well as objectives and expected impact of new features in order to be able document and prioritize new digital product features and user stories. Establish team velocity by reviewing sprint performance and activities to be able to more accurately plan how many backlog items can be covered in upcoming sprints. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department. Qualifications About You:
The applicant should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
You must have minimum 6 years of job related experience.
Should have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Also possess good analytical, interpersonal skills and a proven team player.
Required
Experience in estimating work size and complexity. Proven track record of efficiently prioritizing complex changes and issues. Previous experience in managing digital product delivery preferably in the travel industry. In depth understanding of airline sales marketing and distribution mechanisms Solid knowledge of core airline systems and applications Good understanding of all aspects of digital product development such as customer experience, UI/UX design, engineering, analytics Command of English language Ability and confidence to present to senior management Ability to quantify the cost and benefits of project Strong problem solving skills, analytical thinking Preferred Formal training and certification on airline reservation systems.
