Project Summary:
The purpose of “Public Accountability and Justice Strengthening” (PAJ) activity is to support Jordanian efforts to enhance accountability systems, procedures, and mechanisms within the government of Jordan and judicial institutions and enhance their ability to serve and communicate effectively with the public. It also fosters awareness and pressure by civil society organizations, the public, and the private sector on the government’s adherence to the law and its international commitments to govern in an accountable manner that safeguards the rights of vulnerable populations. Position Summary:
The Legislation Trainer will be expected to develop a training curriculum and deliver trainings to public sector employees. The trainings will focus on national legislation which regulates the work of public worker/servants, such as civil service bylaw, social security law, budget and finance law, and integrity and anti-corruption law. This is a short-term technical assignment, and the expected level of effort is four days for a period of one month
Responsibilities:
Develop training materials according to good practices and utilizing existing materials in consultation with the relevant representatives from PAJ and IPA.
Design and deliver a comprehensive training program/workshop for selected participants.
Conduct pre- and post-evaluations to assess knowledge and skills gained by participants.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as law, business management or public administration, required.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a consultant and trainer in the specified technical areas with high-level clients and/or international donor agencies required.
Experience delivering more than 120 training hours in the subject matter training is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all related stakeholders.
Fluency in both English and Arabic required.
