Job Summary and Purpose Reports to the IT Manager and assists to ensure that the streamlined operation of ITS resources is aligned with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of ITS resources. The lead will work closely with decision makers in the other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions in all aspects of the organization. This person will also implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Accountabilities Key Accountabilities: Strategy & Planning
1. Implements ITS Department operational and strategy, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources. Acquisition & Deployment
1. Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on, and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
2. Exercises oversight of financial aspects of the ITS Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
3. Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
4. Implements all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
5. Develops requests for proposal.
6. Provides management of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
Operational Management
1. Leads the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
2. Oversees provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
3. Works with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
4. Keeps up to date with research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
5. Keeps current with the latest technologies.
6. Leads and oversees projects and project portfolio.
7. Practices asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
8. Monitor and liaise with “heads of” for IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
9. In consultation with “heads of”, establishes and maintains regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end-users regarding pertinent IT activities.
10. Supports audit and compliance activities.
11. Identifies, documents and implements process improvement initiatives
12. Monitor and implement cost control measures to meet budget requirements
13. Implement and ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environment standards, policies, procedures and work instructions.

Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Technology and ERP systems like SAP.Proven experience in IT infrastructure, Applications, and Operations Projects developmentMinimum 8 years related work experience.Job Specific Competencies:

Strong knowledge of network and PC operating systems.Strong knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.Strong knowledge of Application infrastructure mainly related to Microsoft and SAPIn-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.Strong understanding of project management principles.Strong understanding of ITIL and ITSM principles and process.
