Inclusive Security and Resilient Youth (ISRY):
It is a community youth project that targets young people between the ages of 16-20 years (males and females), where young people participate in practical experiences within youth centers and community development associations in addition to external experiences. Its aim is to promote positive interaction among young people within their communities by providing them with knowledge, skills, and tools. To lead community projects through learning by experience.
Holistic Health Program:
The activities of the Holistic Health Program in partnership with the Ministry of Youth aim to improve their physical and mental health.
Enhancing the participants’ life skills (social and emotional) to deal with stress and extreme tension, by educating them about physiological and psychological changes and practices that improve their physical and mental health through specialized sessions on mental health and psychosocial support. The project will also work with parents, guardians, and actors in the field of work. With young people from the local community in implementing project activities, the sessions aim to inform young people and parents about the mental effects of cyberbullying, ways to prevent it, and the legal assistance available to respond to this escalating form of virtual abuse.
Introduction to the role:
Mercy Corps is seeking to contract with an individual national trainer to deliver four workshops, two sessions in Madaba and two in Amman. Each workshop targets 15 youth from (16 to 24 years old) as per bellow details:
These workshops aim to create positive peer support networks and provide young people with techniques to deal with stress and extreme stress. These sessions will be implemented within the centers of the Ministry of Youth in each governorate.
The trainer should have sufficient scientific and practical experience to present this topic, deal with individuals with sensitivity and respect, and create a safe environment free of judgment and biases. He must listen to individuals’ needs and concerns, and provide them with appropriate, evidence-based personal information and guidance. Moreover, the trainer is an important factor in encouraging self-awareness and building skills. It must provide emotional support and practical guidance for individuals to positively and responsibly handle and directly report bullying issues.
