Project Supervisor – 2 positions

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Mission: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Supervisor contributes to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where s/he is based. The project supervisor contributes to the implementation of his/her project, ensuring the optimal quality and the impact of the project. S/he works closely with the programme technical team and support services. S/he is the direct manager of a CBR Volunteers.
Reports to: Project Manager-CBR
Interacts Internally with: Project Agent, Referral officer, Project Officer, Technical Team, Support team “HR, MEAL, Logistics, Finance.
Interacts Externally with: Rehabilitation Service Provider, MOSD, MOH, Vocational Training centre “VTC”, Organization of people with disability” OPDs”, National Council for Family Affairs “NCFA” &all kind of Charities in the community.
Supervises: CBR Volunteers.
Responsibilities
Responsibility 1: Contribute to project planning and implementation in line with the existing frameworks
Activities:
•Contribute to planning and preparing activities, tools and the associated resources, and implement the action plan in conjunction with the support services and the technical unit.
•Ensure that activities are implemented and that resources are correctly allocated as authorized by the project manager.
•Ensure regular reporting of activities, and contribute to the internal and external reporting as requested by the project manager.
•Contribute to identifying areas of the project in which adjustments are required and put forward adaptations to the project manager.
•Contribute to the drafting of amendment requests when asked by the project manager.
•Collect information from the team to document set indicators and contribute to data analysis;
•Contribute to the preparation and implementation of project reviews, mid-term and final evaluations, as well as donor reports;
•Produce monthly work plans based on project planning and report achievements during the regular team meeting.
•Follow-up CBR unit monthly work plans.
•In collaboration with the MEAL team compile all the waiting lists and share them with the CBR volunteers.
•Supervise CBR volunteers and provide them feedback that contributes to developing their skills development.
•In collaboration with CBR Volunteer Identify the project catchment areas
•Follow up the service map with the referral officer.
•Identify the suitable number of CBR volunteers in each area to be matched with the workload.
•Ensure regular supervision for the CBR Volunteers through field visits and provide feedback on regular basis.
•Conduct regular evaluations of the technical tools and documents used at the field level.
•Participate in Internal and external meetings.
•Maintain regular links with the POs in order to ensure the cohesion of activities within the Project.
•In collaboration with the P referral day to rehabilitation and ECD centers.
• In collaboration with CBR Committees and CBR volunteers, organize awareness and information sessions for local stakeholders about rehabilitation and disability.
•Follow up the implementation of training provided by project Officers for the CBR volunteers and collaborate with another department for the provision of logistical support when required.
•Collect the CBR volunteers needed in the field and request them from the support team.
•Conduct a situation analysis about the disability in the targeted area.
•Map the organization of people with disabilities and create a link with them.
•Support the implementation of self-help groups.
•Support the communication with national stakeholders.
Responsibility 2: Contribute to project monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning
Activities:
•Contribute to project monitoring, specifically activity progress indicators and the expected outcomes.
•Contribute to project evaluations at the request of the project manager, and ensure that project evaluation recommendations are followed.
•Ensure the implementation of the feedback and complaint mechanism in the field.
•Conduct regular focus group discussions with project stakeholders.
•Contribute to project lesson learning exercise.
•Ensure the implementation of HI policies
•Collect the project success stories and testimonies.
Responsibility 3: Ensure project data management quality
Activities:
•Ensure that the appropriate data collection and management tools are in place and are used correctly on the project, in line with HI standards.
•Archive the project data and support the project closure.
•Support CBR volunteers to fill in the data in a proper way.
Responsibility 4: Team Management.
Activities:
•As authorized by the project manager, facilitate coordination meetings between the project teams and the support services located in the area, as and when necessary.
•With the human resources department, define the prerequisites for any CBR Volunteers vacant.
•Conduct managerial interviews for the recruitment of CBR Volunteers.
•Ensure the CBR Volunteers’ tasks are clearly defined and understood.
•Ensure the CBR volunteer’s work plans are followed.
•Assess the CBR volunteer’s needs for training and follow up on the needs.
Conduct a Supervision visit and document it by using a Supervision checklist.
•Support the CBR Unit to manage all processes and procedures related to cash requests, payments and advance closures.
•Communicate about the project to partners, authorities and stakeholders when relevant
•Anticipate payments and make requests to the Finance department.
•Keep a record of all cash Payments on Excel worksheet, update it on the Master database and ensure that accurate data related to payments is reported on time and in sufficient quality for monitoring
•Ensure validity of all supportive documents before making payments.
Responsibility 5: Contribute to external project communication
•Contribute to HI’s external influence by taking part in networks, when required.
•Communicate about the project to partners, authorities and stakeholders when relevant
Emergency Preparedness and Response
•Contribute to the programme’s emergency preparedness initiatives, and in an emergency situation, adapt his/her working arrangements in order to contribute to an effective humanitarian response from HI.

This job description is flexible and the Project Supervisor may have additional objectives set by the project manager to ensure the smooth running of the project

Basic salary range for the position : From 1192 JOD to 1340 JOD based on relevant experience.
