Job Description
Quantity Surveyor Civil (Post contract) – Nos. 1 – Qualifications (Civil) bachelor degree in QS – Experience minimum 4 years
Location:Muscat, Oman
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents
- Identifies labor, material, and time requirements.
- Produce enquiry schedules for scope of works & packages required from the tender documentation, drawings and specifications issued.
- Evaluate returned quotations from suppliers and where necessary enters into correspondence with suppliers to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements.
- Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Understanding client briefs and asking pertinent questions if anything is missing
- Work well under pressure and be able to prioritise effectively based on given factors (client, production date, deadline etc)
- Understanding the commercial viability of each estimate produced and profitability
- Understand the schedule given for an estimate and whether it is achievable
- Provide in depth handovers between departments when an estimate becomes an order
- Well known about Oman market material rates.
