Rixos Qetaifan Island North
Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
Cluster Media Relations Manager
The Media Relations Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our public image and communicating our company’s key messages. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels in media relations, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about driving positive exposure for our brand.

What you will be doing:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy that aligns with the company’s overall PR and communication goals.
- Proactively establish and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers in relevant industries.
- Create and distribute compelling press releases, pitches, and media alerts to secure media coverage and manage media inquiries.
- Be prepared to manage and respond to crises or negative publicity effectively, working with the company’s leadership and legal teams when necessary.
- Continuously monitor media coverage, identifying opportunities and potential risks. Provide regular reports and insights for senior management.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to create media-worthy content, such as articles, op-eds, and expert commentary.
- Manage the media relations budget effectively, optimizing resources to maximize impact.
Your experience and skills include:
- Proven experience in media relations, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong network and relationships with media professionals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Crisis communication experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in media monitoring and analysis tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
