Health and Safety Officer
TEAM PURPOSE: To provide effective support to the Syria Crisis Refugee Response Programmes in Jordan.
JOB PURPOSE:
Oxfam operates two solid waste separation sites, one disinfection site, and three warehouse/storage spaces in Za’atari Camp. Oxfam is also processing solid waste using heavy machinery, overseeing field engineering works, and maintains a caravan-office set-up for approximately 45 staff. All Oxfam staff travel to the office using 3rd party rental vehicles on the most dangerous roads in Jordan. The job purpose of the Health & Safety Officer is to co-ordinate across all teams in Za’atari Camp managing office, site and fleet. The officer will establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety within Za’atari Camp are adhered to.
