UPA Community Center Coordinator– Jerash (Gaza) Camp, Jordan

Position Description
United Palestinian Appeal (UPA) www.upaconnect.org, is seeking an experienced coordinator to coordinate all UPA activities and operations in the UPA Center in Jerash (Gaza) Camp, Jordan. The coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating and implementing all activities in line with UPA’s vision and mission. The candidate will be working under the supervision of the Programs Manager (Jordan) and in collaboration with UPA’s partners & other UPA staff.
MAIN RESPNSIBILITIES
Implement and follow up on all programs (home nursing, elderly, after school tutoring, productive kitchen, and small business development, etc.).
Maintain a close relationship with the key stakeholders in the Gaza camp to ensure their support to the UPA’s mission and strategies, in the camp.
Work closely with partner organizations to implement project activities smoothly.
Collect and conduct needs assessments to capture the urgent needs in the camp to inform future projects and programs.
Participate in the procurement process of the goods and services needed for the center, following UPA’s procurement guidelines.
Assist in putting together budgets for programs and activities.
Submit monthly reports on the center activities, progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Work closely with the center’s staff and coach them to achieve the UPA objectives.
Collect the necessary data on a monthly basis, and work with the Monitoring and evaluation Manager to upload data to be used for analysis and reporting.
Manage inventory of all UPA’s center’s possessions.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in business Administration, Social Science or Development Study or any other relevant field.
At least 3 years’ experience in administration, project management working with humanitarian and development organizations.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to follow up on multiple activities and projects.
Very good communication, writing and reporting skills
Fluency in Arabi and good command in English, written and oral communications
Flexible and adaptable to change.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Proficient in MS word and excel.
