DIVISION PURPOSE: To provide and/or or supervise the provision of technical support and assistance to the programme within an area of specialism.
TEAM PURPOSE: One of the key program pillars in Oxfam’s Country Strategy for Jordan is Climate Justice. Oxfam recognizes and addresses the vulnerability and risks of climate change on the world’s poorest and most vulnerable while acknowledging that they contribute the least to its causes. In Jordan, Oxfam aims to increase the understanding of individuals and communities on the impacts of climate change, identify vulnerabilities and risks on communities, and generate evidence on ways to build resilience of vulnerable groups and communities.
Oxfam in Jordan’s Climate Justice team works together with local communities, refugees, local partners and local government to deliver interventions that address the community needs in terms of water, waste management and public health engineering.

JOB PURPOSE: To support in the implementation of Oxfam in Jordan’s Climate Justice Programme. The role of the Climate Justice Assistant will be to coordinate and support with the implementation of activities, collection of data, coordination and follow up with service providers, and production of key research documents, publications and reports and in coordination with teams in Za’atari Camp, Host Communities and Amman offices.
