Job title: Field and Data Officer (2 months contract – possible renewal)
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to follow up field admin and logistical tasks and to maintain and update databases, to support and assist the team in order to implement the project activities as proposed to donor. Candidate should be very accurate, detail-oriented, organized for entering, managing, and presenting data and information both in hardcopy and softcopy, and familiar with advanced excel skills.
Knowledge/ Qualifications for the role:
Field monitoring and administration
Visit field and support the team on field implementation.
With the team, communicate with beneficiaries and obtain feedback on WV services for improvement.
Collect information/documents from the field and organize them in proper filing for both soft and hard copy documents.
Ensure that the information/documents collected from the field will not be lost and be accessible for the team.
Coordinate well with coordinators to plan and implement efficient information collection procedures in the field.
Manage and update Asset and Inventory list.
Support Project Officer in payment and other administrative tasks.
Data and information management
Work closely with the MEAL staff to ensure they have all the required information, material, and resources for their day-to-day work.
In collaboration with the IMC Initiate capacity-building assessments and subsequent plans, develops training resources to build the skills of the wider WV team and local partners in the IM field to ensure internal and external reporting requirements are met.
Any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Manages LMMS tools (for example, registrations and distribution tools)
Coordinating data entry and updates to tables, databases and software (with any IM operators, M&E staff, and project/programme team members involved in entering data)
Lead on the routine data quality Assessments, and report any data quality issues to the MEAL Manager and Information Management Coordinators.
Support the IMC in WV global centre data reporting requirements, including GHR, Board updates, and
Required Professional Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience of working in in program administration or field support
1 (out of the total) year of experience with INGO/local NGO
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:
BA degree in business, management, administration, finance, accounting, or a related field
Very Good command of oral and written English
Advanced skills in Excel
Typing speed and accuracy
Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
Experience of implementing Japan funded projects and understanding of donor compliance is preferred.
Proven data entry work experience, as a data entry operator
Experience using office equipment and online software, like printer and scanner, and Google docs
Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
Ability to travel to project sites in high frequency
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
Familiarity with administrative duties
Able to maintain the confidentiality requirements
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
50% Office work, 50% Field work
Language Requirements
Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required.
