Overview
This position entails to do wood working/carpentry and special request job tasks from customers/clients. Perform minor repairs and fabrication concerning furniture’s, doors, cabinets, other wood working/carpentry jobs.
Responsibilities
- Service Orders
- Preventive Maintenance
- Non-value-added work (Shop clean-up, Tool inventory)
- Performs other duties and assignments as required
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- High school diploma is required or equivalent.
- Requires as a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in the Carpentry trade.
- Must have experience with heavy duty wood working shop equipment’s such as table saw, radial saw, planner, surfacing machine, routing machine and power sander.
- Program Specific Requirements:
- Extensive Carpentry Experience. (1-5 Years’)
- Possess knowledge of safety and environmental issues.
- Must be able to change doors, windows and fabricate cabinets.
- Able to communicate with customer.
- Working Environment:
- In this position there is exposure to physical and working conditions where serious accidents or injuries may occur, exposure to disagreeable noise elements and prolonged high ambient temperatures.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull 35-45 lbs.
