Job Title :Assistant Operator
Hold an ITI or diploma from the ITI Industrial Training Institute with 1-2 years of operational experience in any kind of machinery
I. Major Functions
o Responsible for effectively operating the machine and ensuring that the machine operates efficiently o Responsible for both scheduled and unscheduled cleaning of their respective machines and areas o Understands the supervisors overall plan for the production and works in accordance to the plan.

o Functional Responsibilities [TimeSpent%: 80]
§ Long Shelf-Life section
§ Responsible for effective operation of helix, straw applicator, multi-packer, tray packer and shrink machine
§ Responsible for handling and loading of :
§ I. Straw applicator hot melt glue
§ II. Straws
§ III. Multi packer stretch film
§ IV. Trays
§ V. Outer shrink film
§ Responsible for operator change over of equipment according to packaging requirement
§ Assists the maintenance staff in the technician change over of equipment and checks the effective function of equipment
§ Responsible for daily cleaning and 120 Hr weekly service cleaning of the machine
§ Provides support when needed to the supervisor in fulfilling other assigned areas of responsibility
§ Short Shelf-Life section
§ Delegates responsibilities and gives clear, consistent directives to the staff of the section for enforcing adherence to KDDs established quality standards.
§ Coordinates with the machine operators and maintenance department staff to continuously improve the yield and efficiencies of the section
§ Coordinates with the machine operators to receive packaging materials, raw materials, hot melts etc required for the operation of the machine
§ Assists the machine operator/maintenance staff during breakdowns and checks the effective functioning of the equipment
