Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Project Manager with a strong background in Land Development and Infrastructure projects to lead and oversee complex projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge, skills, and experience to drive projects from inception to completion while ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations.
The candidate will undertake a full day to day PM role on complex projects and may be required to oversee and manage other project managers who are delivering less-complex projects. The candidate will be required to plan, direct, and supervise all operations included on projects with greater risk and complexity; moderate to large financial impact and lead the overall project and project teams in technical, financial, and client matters using suitable and consistent processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage Land Development and Infrastructure Design projects, from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Routinely resolve difficult project issues and actively engage in business development by leading bids and securing new/repeat business.
Team Management: Build and lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and motivation to team members to achieve project goals.
Client Interaction: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, understand their needs, and ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations. Be aware of and project the wider company offering where appropriate and develop wider internal contacts in support of this. Act in a key Client liaison role.
Infrastructure Planning: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of urban and regional development projects and contribute towards defining infrastructure solutions based on land use, transportation considerations, sustainability requirements and aesthetics.
Design Oversight: Oversee the design process of complex land development schemes whilst ensuring solutions are adopted based on relevant infrastructure design and construction considerations, and functionality is integrated effectively into project plans.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with relevant planning and zoning regulations, and ensure projects adhere to all legal requirements.
Budget and Resource Management: Develop project budgets, monitor expenditures, and allocate resources efficiently to optimize project outcomes.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
Possess an Engineering Degree. Working towards or possessing a professional certification or PMP e.g.. PE/CEng (or equivalent). A Masters Degree MBA/MSc is preferred.
Fellowship with a recognised professional body will be a plus.
Proven experience as a Project Manager on infrastructure projects with a successful track record of managing complex projects.
Broad knowledge of transportation and highways, wet utilities, dry utilities considerations on infrastructure and land development projects.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
Familiarity with local, regional, and international regulations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of sustainability and green building practices.
GIS (Geographic Information System) proficiency.
Familiarity with 3D modeling and visualization tools.
Multilingual abilities, especially if working on international projects.
Working Conditions:
This role may require travel to project sites and meetings with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders. It may also involve occasional extended working hours to meet project deadlines.
