Due to the continued success in Middle East, AtkinsRealis is looking for a Lead Principal Architect to join our already established team in Riyadh, KSA that will serve as a key leadership figure within the organization responsible for overseeing team operations, driving business development, and leveraging technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong architectural background, be RIBA qualified, and demonstrate a proven track record in managing both the creative and business aspects of architectural projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Operations:
Provide strategic leadership to the architectural team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Demonstrate an innovate and collaborative multi-disciplinary approach to planning & design.
Oversee project teams, ensuring efficient project delivery, adherence to deadlines, and high-quality design output.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and skill enhancement.
Business Development:
Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the firm’s client base and secure new projects.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Identify new business opportunities and provide strategic thought leadership to identify new market trends.
Participate in the preparation of proposals and presentations.
Develop a pipeline of strategic opportunities for the business and the wider AtkinsRealis Group.
Technical Expertise:
Review and approve architectural designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams, addressing complex design challenges.
Coordinate with the relevant members of the Business with respect to necessary input during the Bidding and Commercial Stage Gate process including attending Stage Gate reviews as necessary in order to convert identified target opportunities to projects.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform design decisions.
Incorporate sustainable design principles into client solutions as a matter of course.
Client Engagement:
Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and goals, translating them into innovative and feasible architectural solutions.
Qualifications:
Professional qualification in architecture (RIBA Chartered Architect).
Min 15+ years of extensive experience in architectural design and project management.
Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Knowledge of relevant design leaders, trends, benchmark and challenges
Incorporate sustainable design principles into client solutions as a matter of course
Strategic thinker – ability to spot opportunities and galvanise the resource and the expertise in order to capitalise on them.
