FP&A Lead
A position has arisen to assist the Finance Director of our AtkinsRalis Middle East, Planning, Design and Engineering business with all aspects of financial reporting and control for a recently awarded Megaproject in Riyadh, KSA. The role will deliver high quality and effective financial reporting, forecasting / budgeting, and project support functions, focused on ensuring delivery of clear, accurate and insightful budgets / reports as well as provide support to key stakeholder in terms of project reviews and other value add activities.
Responsibilities
Review of project performance against baseline budgets, including cash collection, and provide variance analysis
Lead the preparation of month end accounts and completion of deliverables in a timely manner
Lead the preparation of robust and complete quarterly forecasts and annual budget to the standards and timescales set by Regional and Group Finance functions
Provide financial support and advice to the project director and manager, ensuring they understand the financial performance of their projects
Work with project commercial, project controls and project accounting teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial reporting, including subconsultant accruals
Support project teams to prepare finance content for project board reviews
Support the Finance Director with ad-hoc initiatives and analyses
Assist in driving business operational improvement projects and in setting up a strong control environment and promote good financial practices throughout the project
Ensure compliance to business Group Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use of best accounting practices
Develop strong working relationships with team members and other key stakeholders
Provide review and support to bids and variation pricing within the project portfolio when required

Technical Competencies
Essential
Fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA or other recognised International Accounting qualification
Minimum of 5 years experience within a business support Finance role
Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks and delegate effectively
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (knowledge of Data Modelling, PowerPivot and PowerBI tools is an advantage). Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools
Attention to detail with a high standard of (numerical) presentation skills
Produce insightful analysis and clearly communicate findings
Good understanding of a project lifecycle and the different measures of financial performance
Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
Strong financial reporting skills with an understanding of IFRS
Highly analytical, able to manipulate and interpret complex data from multiple sources
Excellent communication in English (both written and oral), Arabic speaker would be an added advantage.
Experience of interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions
Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment
Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
Desirable
Prior experience working within an Engineering Consultancy business
Experience preparing project related financial reports and reconciliations relating to, project expenses, billing, debt, provisions, and utilisation
Exposure to preparing statutory returns and financial statements
Working knowledge of JD Edwards, ePBCS, FCCS, Smart View and other IT systems and databases.
