CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB: (What is the reason that this job exists; what is the overall aim of this role?
✓ Receive payment by cash, credit cards, coupons, or automatic debits.
✓ Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
✓ Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and
that there is adequate change.
✓ Deliver hospitality to every customer
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
✓ Handle cash, debit/ credit transactions with customers
✓ Punch all items in the register then collect payments
✓ Ensure to state the correct bill to the customer
✓ Give properly change and receipt to the customer
✓ Redeem coupons as per company guidelines
✓ Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct
and that there is adequate change
✓ Make sure to suggest sell or, sell up products and introduce new ones
✓ Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
✓ Bag items carefully
✓ Always Smile and Greet customers when entering or leaving establishment
✓ Always maintain clean POS area
✓ Keep reports of transactions
✓ Process returns and check to see if items are damaged
✓ Answer customers’ questions and get a manager if answer doesn’t solve the issue Bag, box or
wrap packages
✓ Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
✓ Double check always for Fake notes, if in doubt call the Managers

QUALIFICATIONS
✓ Proven working experience in retail cashiering or sales
✓ Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money
counters, SPAN etc)
✓ Strong communication and time management skills
✓ Customer satisfaction-oriented
✓ Attention to detail
✓ Sales skills
✓ High school degree
