JOB PURPOSE:
Provides professional advice and technical expertise in identifying and resolving safety issues. Perform safety activities to monitor compliance with safety requirements and support enhanced safety performance.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Provide professional safety engineering advice and technical expertise to support development and optimization of SASREF safety procedures and programs.
- Ensure compliance with SASREF safety requirements and regulations and all relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
- Review contractors Safety Management Systems documentation to ensure it complies with SASREF requirements for contractors.
- Coordinate safety communications e.g. safety toolbox meeting, Learning From Incidents…..etc.
- Ensure that crisis & emergency response plans and procedures are compliant.
- Monitor execution of safety training program to support safety competence of DPM function.
- Participate in Risk Assessment, Site Clean-Up plan Or Potential Hazards, And Conduct Hazardous-Waste Management Reviews to Evaluate the Impact of Such Hazards.
- Prepare regular reports on the condition of various types of operation hazards or potential environmental hazards caused by projects in SASREF.
- Coordinate between DPM and Safety (ISE) team to support effective handling of Health, Environmental or Safety incidents related to projects.
- Develop Project Site Clean-Up Plans, Monitor Their Execution And Completion And Ensure Adherence To Saudi Arabian / Royal Commission Environmental Regulations. Write Reports And Proposals Based On Information And Data Collected On The Various Environmental Issues In A Given Area.
- Ensure the business processes and work activities, relevant to position, are executed in compliance with SASREF policy, procedures and best practice to achieve the business objectives in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct Manager/Supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Engineering
- 6+ years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry.
