SABIC Looking for Polymer Plant Engineer at Saudi , Jubail Industrial City Full Time

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide technical leadership on rotating equipment which are specific to polymer plants and their associated systems which may typically include agitators, mixers, slurry handling pumps and seal systems, rotary pressure/vacuum filters, vacuum pumps, rotary dryers, centrifuges, rotary valves, screw conveyors, extruders, pelletizers, blenders/ compounders, conveying compressors, packaging systems and giving technical support and leading recommendations to affiliates and projects.
• Undertake studies pertaining to above stated asset types that encompass reliability risk assessment, asset strategy, operation, corrective maintenance and failure analysis.
• Induct new technology, specialist level inputs to uprates and minor projects, monitoring and reporting of every affiliates’ equipment performance, identification of gaps in maintenance systems and practices through metrics and audits.
• Lead development and standardization of best engineering practices and communication of learning from incidents.
• Globally enhance technical competencies of SABIC engineers in these areas of expertise to drive long term value creation to SABIC.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
• 15+ years of relevant work experience in an operating plant with rotating equipment
• Strong basic engineering skills
• Good domain knowledge of rotating equipment relevant to typical plastic and rubber polymer plants, predictive and diagnostic technologies for rotating equipment.
• Basic knowledge of other process equipment, electrical, instrumentation and controls
• Strong commitment to personnel safety and good understanding process safety and risk
• Be self-motivated and able to manage own project portfolio.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective group facilitation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with and lead cross-functional working teams.
• Service oriented and customer focused.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
• Constantly seeking new skills in reliability engineering principles, SAP, root cause failure analysis methods, and become experts in rotating equipment knowledge.
