**Company Description** Rixos Qetaifan Island North**
Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.
**Job Description** Health & Safety Supervisor**
Health & Safety Supervisor is responsible to assist the HSE Manager running the day-to-day operation of the Health & Safety department ensuring that safe work practices are implemented / conducted in all areas of the waterpark.
– Assist the HSE Manager with the implementation of health and safety policies, procedures and standards.
– Outlines safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
– Conducts regular site inspections to ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
– Prepares and maintains inspection records and produces reports that suggest improvements.
– Maintains incident records and produces statistics for management as required.
– Investigates and reports on all personal injury accidents and damage to property occurring in the waterpark and document in an incident report.
– Maintains a working knowledge of Health and Safety best practices and industry policy changes.
– Produces health and safety related reports, newsletters and bulletins.
– Advises on a range of specialist areas including fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
– Provides safety orientations and oversee the performance of all employees in order to ensure safe work practices are followed.
– Initiates and organizes safety awareness campaigns, including occupational safety workshops and training sessions, in an effort to ensure that students and staff observe established safety guidelines and procedures.
– Carries out regular safety and security inspections of various waterpark facilities, systems and equipment, including first-aid rooms, electrical systems, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants to ensure compliance with international standards.
**Qualifications**
– Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry (5* Hotel or resort).
– High School diploma
– 2 years of H&S experience preferably in waterpark park environment
– Strong computer proficiency of Microsoft office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
– Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
– Ability to speak other languages such as Arabic will be an advantage
