Job Description
The role of the Account Manager is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal partners, the Account Manager delivers exceptional service and a valuable solution. The position will manage a defined book of business or group of accounts (banks, corporates or other financial institutions) in the territory and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals. You will also open up larger solution opportunities and introduce Solution & Proposition Sales as well as the Customer Support department.Role Responsibilities:Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer strategy (short and long term), objectives, high knowledge of clients decision makers (including C-level) organigram, priorities and needsMaintain solid understanding of Refinitiv propositions to initiate conversations and raise interestBuild and embed a long term trusted advisor relationship within their accounts as well as strong relationshipwith client C-level and other decision makersCreate an account plan with a clear strategy (short and long term) defining specific actions for driving growthby expanding Refinitiv footprintDaily update of CRM with sales activities, forecast & pipelineFocus on maintaining overall customer engagement and expanding and retaining managed net revenueOversee all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end to end customer relationshipDrive efficiency in account administration (especially for lower value and growth potential accounts)Manage internal and external stakeholders and maintain networks to negotiate and close dealsAccount Managers Growth accounts will manage a defined book on a proactive basisAccount Managers are responsible for revenue retention (primarily), sales, and administration of accountsQualifications and Experience Required:Strong understanding of customers and their business model and workflowsIndustry experience within the customer segmentStrong product knowledgeRelationship building skillsSelling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)Strong negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technologywith a high level of proficiencyProblem solving–ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needsPresentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within anorganizationAbility to collaborate with account teamUniversity/college degree may be required, equivalent experience may be considered depending onposition/departmentAdvanced degree may be preferredSignificant work experience in applicable industry and knowledge of customer workflow requiredProven account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer facing environment requiredCustomer relationship management required throughout all levels within an organizationAt LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities.
