Job Overview:
Our Partner is seeking a skilled and motivated Sales and Administration Team Leader to lead the dynamic team in the ship chandling/logistics industry. This role combines leadership, sales coordination, and administrative management to ensure the smooth functioning of sales operations and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in both sales and administration, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Sales and Administration support staff to excel in their roles, achieve sales goals, and deliver top-notch customer service.
Set clear expectations for performance, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations to foster professional growth and development.
Promote a collaborative team culture that values communication, cooperation, and continuous improvement.
Sales Coordination and Support:
Oversee the sales support process, ensuring the timely and accurate handling of client inquiries, quote preparation, and order processing.
Collaborate closely with the relevant functions to ensure all required service levels are met from processing Sales orders through to delivery & invoicing.
Administrative Management:
Manage the administration of sales orders, including meticulous documentation, data entry, and adherence to industry regulations and internal policies.
Monitor sales and administrative metrics, identifying areas for process enhancement, efficiency improvement, and ensuring compliance with established standards.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of records in the company’s systems, maintaining a high standard of data quality.
Customer Relationship Management:
Serve as an escalation point for complex client inquiries, ensuring their swift resolution and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Collaborate with the team to devise strategies for enhancing customer satisfaction, fostering loyalty, and driving customer retention.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on team performance, sales activities, and key performance indicators for presentation to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a relevant field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven track record in sales and administration roles within the ship chandling/logistics or similar industry, with demonstrated leadership experience.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, adept at motivating and guiding diverse teams toward exceeding targets and objectives.
Comprehensive understanding of sales processes, customer relationship management, and administrative operations in the ship chandling/logistics or similar sector.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, team members, and senior executives.
Proficiency in using software applications for data analysis, reporting, and customer relationship management.
Strong organizational aptitude with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks.
Analytical thinker with a proactive problem-solving mindset and the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
