Reporting to the Cluster Director of Sales, MICE, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following. Job Description Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- To be totally familiar with hotel products, rates, and promotions at all times.
- Maintain up to date understanding of company products and rates and involvement in cross selling of these when required.
- To participate in preparing the sales action plans, attend sales meetings; develop new ideas such as special packages, programs, promotional activities undertaken by sales department, F&B, spa and other hotel revenue centers.
- Responsible for Room Sales of managed accounts in MICE segment including all group bookings in both rooms and banqueting.
- To review Groups and Events F&B menus and pricing structure in coordination with the DOS-MICE, Events teams and Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef.
- To identify need periods and maximize meeting space utilization in coordination with the DOS-MICE and the Sales Team.
- Participate in hotel activities including promotions, sales blitzes, entertainment and other operational areas as directed.
- Service needs of customers by attending to all requests promptly within 24 hours.
- Assist the DOS-MICE in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals for consideration.
- Preparation, communication and participation in FAM trip groups/events.
- Develop strong, secure and productive business relations with all companies within portfolio under the geographic / market segment allocated.
- Positive communication of the hotel image to existing and potential customer at all times.
Qualifications Qualifications
- Experience in luxury hotel segment (5*)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Very good presentation skills (site inspections)
- Understanding of Group operations (arrival procedures, meeting requirements, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office are mandatory
- Knowledge and experience with Opera is an advantage
- Previous experience in MICE is mandatory
- Team player with supportive attitude
- Fluency in English and other languages, written and spoken, is preferred
- Fluency in Arabic, written & spoken is an advantage
