Job Description
A Health Safety Inspector is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and visitors in a workplace. They inspect various areas of the workplace to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries. The Health Safety Inspector also conducts audits and investigations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards. They provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and best practices. Additionally, they maintain records and reports of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.Responsibilities:Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and assess risks.Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and protocols.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine causes and implement corrective actions.Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and best practices.Maintain records and reports of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.Conduct safety audits to identify areas for improvement and monitor compliance.Collaborate with management and employees to create a culture of safety.Stay updated on new regulations and industry best practices in health and safety.Participate in emergency response planning and drills.Preferred Candidate:Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety inspection.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.Experience in conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.Proficient in using computer software for record keeping and reporting.Certification in occupational health and safety is preferred.Experience in the private sector is a plus. Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
