TEAM PURPOSE: The solid waste collection project covers twelve districts of Zaa’tari camp where the waste collected from communal bins is transported directly to a landfill. The project is intended to be labour-intensive in order to provide CFW opportunities through combining livelihood opportunities with solid waste management. The objective of the project is to achieve an acceptable level of camp cleanliness while integrating solid waste management services (garbage collection, litter picking and recycling).
JOB PURPOSE: The project manager will be responsible for managing the solid waste team providing oversight to a high visibility, high-risk, income generating revenue project that engages up to 600 refugees as cash for work management of the SWM CFW (litter picking), recycling and garbage collection activity needs to ensure that the camp districts remain clean, and that CFW opportunities are targeting the most vulnerable.
