Job Description
JOB PURPOSETo lead the C&E Cluster Renewable Plants P/L and ensure effective implementation of strategic and operational plans to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operations of all renewable plants in the Cluster, optimum utilization of resources and delivery of uninterrupted supply of Power, whilst fulfilling all contractual obligations, maximizing revenue and ensuring business continuity.Key AccountabilitiesStrategy and Plans:Develop the Renewable operations strategy in line with NOMACs strategy to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departments.Regularly report to the EVP on the operational activities of the unit, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc., as required, to keep them informed and updated on the units activities.Monitor the performance of the business unit against the key performance metrics, to ensure deviations from performance targets are identified, reported, and actioned upon in a timely and efficient manner.Identify short and long-term opportunities for growth and cost-optimization synergies identification and implementation and guide the development and implementation of initiatives that support these plans.Business Development:Participate in the bid management process for the Renewable C&E Cluster projects, including review of O&M proposal documentation and partnering in a joint bid with the ACWA Power, to develop competitive bids to enable growth of NOMACs portfolio and help meet its long-term strategic objectives.Have a thorough understanding of the contractual terms with the project companies and participate in commercial negotiations to secure the best commercial terms for the business in the interests of NOMAC.Project set up:Oversee the setting up of new Renewable projects in C&E Cluster and ensure and lead effective Design Review process and the early mobilization of resources to help set up the basic infrastructure for new plants including systems, policies, procedures to ensure the plants are setup in adherence to NOMACs O&M procedures, and governance and control framework and systems.People Management:Manage and monitor the performance of direct and indirect reports, defining workforce requirements and recruiting, in conjunction with the Human Resources function, to ensure competent, qualified and highly motivated staff are available to enable the achievement of the units objectives.Manage the effective achievement of the teams objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation.Ensure maximum synergies between Renewable plants in term of people management, and develop long term upskilling plan (soft and technical skills).Financial Management:Understand the financial metrics / costs/ contractual obligations of each Renewable project in the Cluster, to ensure the achievement of the revenue, costs, profitability and productivity targets for the business unit.Develop the Business Units budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.Identify areas for cost optimization with maximum operational efficiency.Plant performance:Oversee the development and implementation of the annual KPIs process for the Renewable plants and ensure the efficient monitoring of their achievement, to identify performance gaps and
