Mercy Corps, with an established emergency response program in Syria, manages its Northwest Syria (NWS) programming remotely from Amman, Jordan. Mercy Corps implements its Food Security & Livelihoods (FSL) & Cash programming in Northwest Syria (NWS) through direct implementation and partnerships with local, Syria-based organizations. Emergency programming is central to the response and is comprised of outreach, referrals and the delivery of FSL & Cash support and basic needs, including food, resiliency programs or other livelihood interventions.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The FSL and Cash Program Coordinator, supports the FSL and Cash Program Manager to ensure the smooth running of FSL and Cash activities through both direct implementation and partnerships. Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assisting activities implemented by Mercy Corps and by partner organizations in the program areas.
The position encompasses a wide range of project activities, including design of sector interventions, planning and coordination of high quality interventions, technical oversight, monitoring and verification of activities, supporting budget and proposal development at partner and donor level, collating information collected from partners, reporting to donors, mentoring and coaching of specific partner and MC staff where appropriate, and ensuring that interventions adhere to relevant standards.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts towards accountability, specifically to our beneficiaries and to international standards guiding international relief and development work, while actively engaging beneficiary communities as equal partners in the design, monitoring and evaluation of our field projects.
