Context:
In response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza resulting from ongoing conflict, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is embarking on a study to assess the feasibility of organizing medical evacuations (medevac) for critically ill patients to European Union (EU) or MENA countries willing to provide medical treatment. The collapse of the medical system in Gaza has left many patients without access to adequate care, necessitating the need for external medical interventions.
Purpose of the Function:
Based in Cairo, the Liaison – Medical Liaison Officer (PC) will play a key role in facilitating and optimizing the MedEvac process, starting from patient identification in Gaza to the handover of patients and caretakers to the host country’s embassy in Egypt. The PC will work closely with field teams in Gaza and Egypt to ensure the smooth execution of the MedEvac process and liaise with embassies for patient transfers.

1 Medical Liaison Officer in Gaza
1 Liaison / Protocol Officer at the Palestinian / Egypt Border crossing
1 Medical Liaison Officer in Egypt.
And will collaborate with MSF Belgium (OCB) and France (OCP) Medical Coordinators in Jerusalem and E- Project Medical Referent (PMR) in Gaza.
