Overall Purpose:
Enhance the quality of Medair’s assistance to vulnerable refugees and Jordanians through evidence-based collaboration with programme teams throughout the project cycle. Contribute to a MEAL team that supports and strengthens Medair’s MEAL system so that programming is accountable and focused on learning.
The MEAL Officer position is responsible for data management (data collation, entry, analysis, interpretation, and reporting), developing different reporting formats and checklists, updating and maintaining databases and proper project documentation for accountability and learning. Support the design of utilisation-focused quantitative and qualitative MEAL tools for collecting, analysing, and using data.
Support implementing Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) throughout project cycles, including supporting the effective functioning of Medair’s Feedback and Complaints Mechanism (FCM) within Medair’s global AAP Policy and Guidelines.
Project Overview:
Medair’s programming in Jordan serves refugees and vulnerable Jordanians in addressing their health, social protection, and psychosocial support needs in rural and urban (non-camp) settings.

Qualification / Experience
Vocational qualification
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, MIS, International Development, Political Science, Public Health or other related fields.
Desirable: Graduate Degree in related field.
Work experience
Essential: At least two years of experience working in MEAL roles in a humanitarian setting.
Languages
Essential: Strong working knowledge of English and Arabic (spoken and written).
IT/IM
Essential: Excellent skills in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word Outlook and PowerPoint).
Desirable: Experience with other database applications.
