Job Objective:
The 4PL Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse operations within a fourth-party logistics (4PL) environment. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles. Collaborated closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations that meet or exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities/Communication/OHSE:
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
1. Build organizational efficiencies and processes to cover multiple areas of the warehousing and distribution cycle (capacity planning, capital spending, gap
analysis, etc.)
2. Drive inventory management, productivity, accuracy, and loss prevention programs.
3. Work closely with the Senior Manager & Clients to set-up warehouse’s KPIs and track performance against KPIs.
4. Continuous review of all Value-Added Services for profitability, customer retention and growth in all activities.
5. Participate in the tendering process development of Service Level Agreements (SLA) in line with customers’ requirements.
6. Manage effectively and efficiently all project activities and resources (human, financial, physical / material assets, etc.) in order to meet expected results Efficiencies and Systems.
7. Prepare and develop budgets and annual activity and procurement work plans based on expected year-end outputs and prepare monthly reporting of performance vs. budget.
8. Develop basic revenue models, P&L, and cost-to-completion projections and
make decisions accordingly.
9. Prepare qualitative substantive and periodic financial progress reports as may be
required by the project(s)
10. Ensure the full utilization of the Warehouse Management System, visual
management systems and customs systems.
11. Establish SOPs for warehouse operations and ensure that all warehouse
personnel adhere to them.
Client Relationship Management
12. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries,
concerns, and requirements related to warehouse operations.
13. Collaborate with clients to understand their logistics needs and develop
customized solutions to meet their unique requirements.
14. Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on warehouse activities,
performance metrics, and service enhancements.
Supplier Coordination
15. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials to the
warehouse.
16. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize procurement processes and minimize lead times.
17. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may impact warehouse operations or customer satisfaction.
Leadership and Training
18.Provide recommendations on new subordinate hires and ensure the availability of
all resources required to perform assigned tasks and activities.
19.Supervise subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance and review results.
20.Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development,
recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism.

Purpose:
– Update on SLA Compliance issues and new services to be offered to existing clients. Provide operational KPIs reports and process improvement initiatives. Work on process improvement
– Ensure financial data is accurate, timely and in accordance with company policies. Develop reporting systems to identify and capture key revenue and expense streams.
– Prepare RFQ, RFP and any other documentation required to procure all operating equipment and consumables. Participate in/advice to Tender Committees on all submissions for procurement.
– Develop and ensure compliance to a regulated HSE & Quality system relevant to
Cold Supply Chain solutions.
– Confirmation of contractual and legal obligations. Renewal of contracts and development of appropriate terms and conditions.
– Provide presales support to Sales Dept.
External Communication:
– Customers
– Customs Authorities
– Government Ministries (MOE)
Purpose:
– Collaborate with customers to identify their requirements, increase customer retention and drive growth in all activities
– Ensure compliance with all relevant local procedures and processes.
– Keep updated on regulatory requirements with regards to the storage, packaging, labelling and distribution of supply chain commodities
Occupational Health & Safety and Environment:
Accountability:
Accountable to their line manager and direct reports so far as is reasonably practical
to ensure:
· a safe place or work;
· safe systems of work;
· Safe plant & equipment.
· Provision of information and training.
Responsibility:
Responsible for:
His/her personal safety and that of all personnel under his/her authority, including
others who may be affected by the company’s activities. In particular to:
· Conduct risk assessments on activities within their department ensuring that
the methods and safe systems of work are safe and implemented;
· Ensure all employees and contractors under their control are competent to
undertake their duties;
· Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and
investigated;
· Promote good behaviors and set a personal example with regard to
occupational health and safety matters.
Authority:
Managers/Supervisors have the authority to stop work when health and safety is unsafe or being compromised.
Minimum Qualification/Experiences/Skills
Education & Professional Qualification:
– Bachelor’s Degree
Professional Experience:
– 6 – 8 years of experience in a similar role in the Logistics/ Warehousing & Distribution
– Experience in managing large number of personnel
– Previous experience in Customer Service and Operations is preferred.
Geographic Experience:
– Middle East/GCC experience is preferred
– International experience is preferred.
Computer Skills:
– Advanced knowledge of Office and web applications.
– Experience in using modern WMS systems.
Language Skills:
– Fluent in English – both written and spoken
– Other languages are preferred
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
– Knowledge of 3PL & 4PL, Oil & Gas, Warehousing at principal companies.
– Broad knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations and transportation
systems.
– Knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health practices.
