Job Description and Requirements
We are looking for a detail-oriented Instructional Designer who is ideas–driven and comes from a teaching or training background (vocational training or pedagogical and power skills training). The instructional Designer’s responsibilities include creating detailed, engaging curriculums and quality resources, liaising with subject experts, outlining objectives, and providing feasible timeframes. You should be passionate about making learning an invigorating and empowering experience. To be successful as an Instructional Designer, you should understand how the learning process works and be prepared to collaborate with a wide range of professionals.
Responsibilities
Identify the target group’s training needs.
Define the learning objectives.
Design learning and assessment activities based on best practices in instructional design
Create training materials: courses, trainees guide, trainer’s notes, and other training tools.
Creating assessment tools, surveys, and questionnaires.
Train trainers on how to use the training materials.
Qualifications/ Skills
Strong research skills.
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent training skills.
Excellent Arabic command and very good commands in English.
A passion for education.
Education, Experience
Instructional designers specialized in vocational training
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in Civil, Architectural, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Software Engineering, or a related field
Courses in instructional design and training are preferable.
Previous experience in instructional design (vocational field) for at least 3 years.
Previous working experience as a vocational trainer/ teacher for at least 3 years in the following fields, Civil, Architectural, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Software Engineering – or a related field
Instructional designers specialized in pedagogical and power skills training
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or higher degree in education, curriculum, instruction, or a related field.
Courses in instructional design and training.
Previous working experience in instructional design for at least 3 years.
Previous experience as a trainer/ teacher for at least 3 years in the following fields, Education, Entrepreneur, Power Skills, or a related field.
