Takes a lead role in the initiation, oversight and monitoring of Quality improvement activities in the Heart Centre. Responsible for the management of applicable international accreditation requirements in the Heart Centre.
1. Oversees and coordinates accreditation activities associated with the Heart Centre, including the initial applications for membership, collection of data, on-going monitoring and internal/external reporting.
2.Coordinates with other services and departments as required to fulfil accreditations requirements.
3. Identifies areas for improvement aligned with strategic objectives for the Heart Centre.
4. Promotes and supports quality improvement initiatives in the Heart Centre by assisting in the development of Heart Centre standards, policies and procedures.
5. Takes a lead role in assisting teams to plan and develop Quality Improvement Initiatives in the Heart Centre.
6. Liaises with other departments and services as required to facilitate the development of multidisciplinary teams required to participate in Quality Improvement initiatives.
7. Works with Heart Centre staff to correct deficiencies through education and training. Assists staff in analysing data and monitoring trends in their quality improvement initiatives.
8. Takes a leadership role in promoting and supporting quality activities on committees or teams associated with the Heart Centre.
9. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
10. Participates in self and others education, training and development as applicable.
11. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Healthcare Allied discipline is required.
Four (4) years of Healthcare Quality related experience in a tertiary facility with Master’s Degree or six (6) years with Bachelor’s Degree required.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in Quality Improvement required.
