Directs and manages the implementation of IT infrastructure services including networks and systems, unified communications, office automation and security to meet the business requirements and functional and technical specifications. Oversees the enhancements or maintenance of the existing infrastructure and the option of buying and customizing new infrastructure services.
1. Develops, directs, and mentors staff in line with the mission, vision, values, goals and performance standards of the Hospital.
2. Plans, directs and coordinates the design, installation and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure stable operation of the Hospital’s IT assets.
3. Manages infrastructure personnel and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all aspects of infrastructure systems assists in the provisioning of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
4. Ensures the highest levels of systems availability is maintained including the optimization.
5. Ensures the stability and maintenance of all data center facilities and components, including cooling and power supply.
6. Facilitates communications between Departments and staff to ensure an effective approach to implementation of IT solutions.
7. Implements an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Hospital’s data and servers.
8. Implements processes to identify and mitigate information risks within the Hospital.
9. Develops, Implements and directs the Hospital’s information technology security program, consistent with policies that support the Hospital’s objectives and requirements.
10. Establishes and maintains an efficient, cost-effective infrastructure is in place and that appropriate long term infrastructure architectures and strategies can be built, including storage management requirements.
11. Chairs and/or serves as member of committees/taskforces, as assigned.
12. Consolidates all service improvement areas and escalates them, as needed.
13. Develops and administers the annual operating budget and ensures to keep the expenditures within the budget.
14. Follows all Hospital policies and procedures.
15. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.
16. Performs related duties, as assigned.
PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field is required.
Eight (8) years of HITA related experience including five (5) years in a related managerial capacity with PhD, or eleven (11) years with Master’s Degree or thirteen (13) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
