The Restaurant Manager will manage all daily activities and operation inside the restaurant to run smoothly and efficiently, from ordering kitchen utensils and equipment based on the needs, to managing contracts and payroll and supervising restaurant staff performance.
Ultimately, He/she will help to boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
· Lead the operations team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed.
· Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally.
· Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus.
· Maximise revenues by communicating regularly with the operations Manager to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and promotions.
· Research new wholesale food suppliers and negotiate prices.
· To assist in new employees’ proper on boarding process for new joiners (interviewing, training and ordering uniforms).
· To balance between operational, administrative and staff needs.
· Supervise kitchen and wait staff and provide assistance, as needed.
· Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed.
· Attend regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
· Have full knowledge of all Outlet menus.
· Assist in managing the departmental budget.
· Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
· Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling operations.
· Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulation.
· Previous Assistance management experience required.
· Previous point of sale system experience required.
· Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required.
· University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
· Highly responsible & reliable.
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
· Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
· Customer service attitude.
· Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
3-5 years of Experience.
Fluent in English and Arabic.
Candidate should be locally available in Qatar.
Should be able to join immediately.
