Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Protection Engineer located in Abu Dhabi. The Senior Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing and improving power system protection schemes, including developing detailed protection settings and procedures, conducting protection coordination studies, and determining protection relay schemes. The Senior Protection Engineer will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and conducting training sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Design and power systems protection field
- Experience in designing and improving power system protection schemes, and protection coordination studies including developing detailed settings and procedures
- Experience in Power system protection software ETAP ( mandatory), ASPEN (added advantage)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and mentor junior engineers
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working on international projects is a plus
- UAE or GULF region working experience
- UAE driving license.
