UNIT PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
To Implement the fundraising plan and develop new fundraising initiatives.
Build and maintain relationship with the Private sector, Public sector, Civil society, NGOS, and Educational partners. As well as to secure sponsorships for programs.
ROLE OBJECTIVES:
The INJAZ Fundraising & Grants Unit requires a self-starting and highly capable professional with strong research, writing, and stakeholder management skills to coordinate its grant writing function. The Proposal Writer is deeply engaged in both the technical and financial aspects of writing and securing grants. He/she will be responsible for identifying appropriate funding opportunities and liaising with internal and/or external stakeholders to design projects, draft proposals, and develop budgets.
B-DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The principal duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited:
Developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations, persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs to potential funders.
Assembling and submitting grant requests, including letters, proposals, budgets, and Presentations.
Establishing and maintaining personal contact and relationships with foundation contacts and program officers.
Maintaining calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposal deadlines, and reports.
Conducting prospect research.
Prioritizing projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and managing supplemental material required for proposals.
Providing writing support for major donor and individual contribution letters and Acknowledgement.
