Core Responsibilities:
. Supporting Category Manager within the assigned brand/category by developing comprehensive business plans
. Studies trends from historical data around brand/category sales and market research to assist in the overall planning process.
. Supports in tasks that will allow category KPIs to be achieved.
. Responsible for monitoring defined price strategy for both Local and Own Brands against competitors.
. Manages consumer mapping and is responsible for brand/category consumer segmentation and differentiation.
. Ensures optimum utilization of customer research information to guide brand/category management decisions, including decisions on theintroduction of new products, product assortment, promotion and pricing of products in the store.
. Ensures compliance and governance of item master dare process.
People Management:
. Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager for self and ensures that the goals are
achieved during the course of the year.
. Takes ownership of his/her own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the
individual development plan
. Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
