As a Commis 2 Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary operations of our esteemed establishment in Dubai. Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting in food preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently delivered, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Working under the guidance of senior chefs, you will have the opportunity to develop your culinary skills while contributing to the creation of memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards. This includes chopping, slicing, marinating, and other basic cooking tasks.
Culinary Support: Work closely with senior chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of meals. Follow instructions carefully and execute tasks with precision.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation at all times. Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the safety of our guests and colleagues.
Kitchen Maintenance: Keep work stations clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift. Assist in the cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils as required.
Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and offering assistance when needed. Contribute ideas and suggestions for menu improvements and operational enhancements.
Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable to changing kitchen demands and requirements. Willingness to learn new techniques and cuisines to enhance culinary skills and broaden experience.
Candidate Requirement
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role.
Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality cuisine.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Culinary certification or relevant training is a plus.
