Job Accountabilities
Manage the operations for all verticals of OUA Travel by ensuring optimal utilisation of resources,
leading to the achievement of the annual budgets in net sales, total revenue and income,
exceeding wherever possible in the areas specified
Review, analyse and recommend to the line manager the manpower requirements for the
department and continuously monitor the budget and look at ways to reduce cost.
Ensure the smooth functioning and profitability of existing implants / outlets. Recommend and
implement measures to correct any shortfall in the budget and to ensure profitability of each cost centre
Maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and ensure through Service Level
Agreements that departmental needs are effectively met. Continuously seek improvements in business
processes, systems and technology, in order to ensure that business targets are achieved
in the most efficient manner.
Co-Ordinate with dnata Travel Head Quarters operations to share best practices and implement
global initiatives to the benefit of OUA Travel
Plan and recommend service configurations during RFP’s or restructuring of current client
operational service to enhance the customer experience.
Liaise with RSM and dnata HQ Technology teams to give constant feedback on current products
to ensure they integrate with current operational procedures. Keep abreast of new operational technology
in the pipeline and give advice on how this can be adapted for our market.
Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports and constant monitoring of market trends and competitor activity.
Evaluate this information and recommend or implement action to counter competitor activity.
Monitor staff performance and recommend training programmes for all OUAT operations team.
Maintain and document effective procedures to ensure employee standards are maintained,
whilst seeking to identify new strategies to motivate staff.
Leverage and build synergies across all departments and dnata Regional offices to maximize
productivity and provide the best opportunity for success. Ensure that everyone is working towards
a common focus, a common goal and common purpose.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualification:
University Degree or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent)
Experience:
Commerical/Operations 5+ Years
Knowledge/Skills:
Experience at a middle management capacity in travel based organisation in an operational role.
Knowledge/Ability/Skills:
– Must have excellent organisational and communicational skills.
– Analytical thinker, high degree of Initiative and an innovative business approach
– To continuously monitor, improve and draft business processes
– Managing a team. Knowledge of IATA regulations.
