In your role you perform the specified commercial, organizational and administrative tasks correctly and on schedule in collaboration and consultation with your line manager, in accordance with the specified objective and with due regard for legal, contractual and internal requirements and procedures.
In this context, you deal independently with specialist matters and use the necessary digital tools for knowledge management. Your main tasks include ensuring that day-to-day business runs smoothly. You respond to written enquiries, reply to non-standard queries, prepare reports and correspondence and translate texts, where necessary.
Your key duties include maintaining appropriate internal and external communications. You have the multilingual skills required to deal with specialized contexts.
In response to enquiries, you provide general information within your specialist area based on established processes and with due regard for compliance rules. You also provide information and advice on internal workflows.
You provide support for knowledge management and ongoing process development in your area of responsibility. You also prepare and share documentation.
You perform the tasks assigned to you by your line manager, where required.
About the project
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is commissioned by the German Federal Police with the project: Management of planning and construction of a training centre for service dog handlers and service dogs (K9-Unit Training Center / K9-U TC) in Amman, Jordan.
The intention is to build a completely new infrastructure on the property of the Royal Police Academy (RPA) in Amman to house and train the service dog handlers, and the service dogs and to provide working space for other necessary personnel.
For the implementation of the Project “Management of planning and construction of a training center for service dog handlers and service dogs in Amman, Jordan (K9-U TC)”, GIZ is looking for someone to support and coordinate as Office Manager.
Emanating from GIZ’s role in enhancing and promoting the efficiency and competency of its political partners and entities and their respective employees, and in view of GIZ’s aim at maintaining and encouraging the stability of employment at its political partners and entities, this position will not be available to any official employee currently working at any of GIZ’s political partners, governmental ministry, department or entity, including any official employees who are on unpaid leave.
