Summary
You will have an opportunity to run the Pastry department along with your team as it was your own Pastry Shop. You are expected to come up with new ideas for seasonal menus based on the concept of the ingredients of the local market, and always find new unique local artisan products for retail. You will be expected to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and still balance individual attention to detail in every single piece of pastry even amidst large voluminous production. Use all your creativity to be ahead of the demand and be up to date on the latest Pastry trends in the industry.
You will be responsible for assisting the Head Chefin maximizing associates productivity through multi-skilling, flexible scheduling, and training & development of the brigade of Chefs.
Qualifications
Ideally with a professional diploma in Food Production with pastry specialization. Minimum 2 years work experience as Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef. Good practical, operational, and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity are a must.
