Charterhouse are undertaking a search for a leading Qatari family group, whom possess an extensive portfolio of Retail outlets, Brands and Consumables, and B2C/B2B services, within fundamental sectors such as Sports and Fitness, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Real Estate, and Technology.
Operating throughout the GCC region and in Europe, this well-respected group has significantly contributed to the countries growth and are looking to hire an ambitious, Supply Chain Manager to lead and oversee their diverse retail and franchise partnerships, within the Sports and Lifestyle sector.
This role will be responsible for leading the entire Supply Chain with the key purpose to improve cost of goods sold (COGS) and the controllable cost.
The incumbent will drive strategy, in order to organize, direct, manage and evaluate the supply chain activities, and is responsible for budgeting, purchasing activities as well as creating and implementing purchasing policies. This managerial role will include identifying opportunities for operational improvements, whilst designing a procurement plan supported by relevant guidelines and procedures.
In conjunction, the Supply Chain Manager role, will work conjointly with the Senior Management, to review the performance of the department and offer support, training and professional development when required.
The client will look to hire a bourgeoning manager with a minimum of 8 years’ professional experience and demonstrable track-record in the supply chain of gymnasium, sports or lifestyle equipment.
The selected candidate must have bachelor’s Degree in either Industrial Engineering, Business Management or Procurement and a register member of an affiliated professional body.
You will demonstrate a strong business acumen and a track record of P&L, Supply Chain and Logistics and Project Management experience within the sports, retail or lifestyle sector. The successful candidate must be fluent in English with strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
This role is based in Doha on a full-time basis and will require overseas candidates to relocate.
