Finance assistant – Terms of Reference
The Programme
Axiom International are implementing a CSSF funded Police Reform and Capacity Building Programme in Jordan (PRCB) with support from our partner NICO. The programme aims to support key security agencies within Jordan to become increasingly effective, accountable, and better able to anticipate and manage threats in a way that is visible to the public. Key components of engagement include protection and security, police leadership, training development and management, community engagement, and organisational change. Throughout the programme, Gender and conflict sensitivity is being mainstreamed to ensure gender responsive, Human Rights compliant, and conflict sensitive programming, implementation and review of the programme.
The Role
This position will work closely with and under the direction of the Programme Manager to assist with the financial management of the programme. Under the direction of the Programme Manager, the finance assistant will
Monitoring and oversight of the collection and storage of receipts and financial information in line with the Axiom corporate invoicing process.
Assist in managing the PRCB Expenses Log on monthly basis.
Record receipts in the adequate budget lines.
Ensuring all receipts are coded in accordance with the invoicing process.
Spot, highlight and report any discrepancies related to the receipts through the proper channels.
Maintain high quality and accurate records. Flag any concerns to the Programme Manager.
Committing to delivery deadlines and submission dates for the Expenses Log.
Ensuring that all expenses are evidenced with quality receipts and follow-up with the team as required.
Ensuring all expenses and receipts have the required and correct information.
Logging all flight’s centre invoices in the Expenses log.
Checking and logging the Petty Cash, Bank Records, and Fuel Receipts into the Expenses Log.
Support the implementation of Axiom’s new finance system on the ground

Required Skills and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, business administration or any other related field.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in providing financial and admin support to project/programme management in the context of development cooperation or related area is required.
Experience managing finances for projects including receipt collection, spend tracking, and recording
Language Requirements
Fluency in English and Arabic language – in both written and oral – is required.
Additional skills requirements
Professional experience in the usage computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) is required.
Experience of working with projects funded by international donors, such as FCDO, is an asset.
Reporting Lines
This position will report directly to the Project Manager and will be working closely with the Program Coordinator
Location
This is a part-time post based in Amman. The programme will make efforts to support candidates based outside Amman, and we encourage candidate from all backgrounds to apply.
