Job Description
Job Brief: Manage all aspects and activities of Occupational Health, Safety & Security requirement operations, Training, Hazardous Materials, Spillage Control and loss control prevention ande n surescompliance with LSC101and Hospitals tandardsfor new projects and existing areasinthe Company. Primary Responsibilties : Administers the depa1tment to provide a high standard of a multiple and trustworthy occupational health, safety & security for employees, the hospital complex to meet the requirements of the International Medical Center within the recommendations and policies of the Hospital. Ensures that all safety related requirements of the latest edition of the life safety code (LSC) of the national fire protection association (NFPA)/ Civil defense. Manages the safety, hazardous materials and the decontamination and spillage control procedures are implemented & the perfo1mance of the personnel in the depa1tment. Develops and interprets statistical data Safety Section activities. Provides daily, monthly, and annual reports prior to their submission to the Safety & Security Senior Manager. Reviews drawings of new projects and alterations to existing areas to ensure compliance with codes and standards. Makes recommendation concerning the amendments and necessary updating/review of the hospital fire plan in accordance with codes and disaster plan. Utilizes and manages modern technology and products specification for any new fire detection alarm and fire prevention, suppression systems or modifications to existing systems, as required. Utilizes and manages modern technology and procedures in the field of security such as access control system, CCIV system to the best interest of the Company. Ensures that all new projects, expansions, and renovations follow the appropriate provisions of the latest edition of the life safety code (LSC) and security requirements. Maintains records of all equipment, including tests, repairs, and functionality. Ensures that all department equipment is fully functioning to the extent possible by directing operational supervision and staff in the equipment inspection and test schedules as per the standard and in liaison with other departments if necessary. Manages the achievement of the monthly and annual plan for the department within the budget. Supervises personnel transact ions in the safety and security sect io n with respect to transfers, deductions, overtime, work Schedule and leave absences. Evaluates and revise section policies and procedures and implements the internal policy. Ensure that all safety and security section equipment is fully functioning to the extent possible by directing operational supe revision ns and staff in the equipment inspection and last schedules as per the standard and in liaison with other departments necessary and carry out quality improvement checks of tasks performed. Carry out total quality management officer tasks in the section of safety and security. Follo w-up reports, statements, investigations, and Occurrence Variance Reports (OVR) generated by the security force of the section of safety and security. Leader of the Accreditation & Safety Committee to ensure that all the requirements of the company Stander have been applied. Ensures that the Hazmat equipment Training has been applied as per the Company stander & according to the Accreditation Standards Performs any other job-related duties as assigned. Educational/Professional Qualifications:Educational: Bachelors degree and Masters degree is a plusProfessional & Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a similar field and experience in Saudi Arabia is a must. Experti se& Skills: Working kn ow l e d ge of principles, practices, laws, and standards relat e d to the hospital safety a nd security requirements. Knowledge of local governmental regulation s.Mu s t be bilingual , Arabic/English. Communication and managerial skills work outside and inside the facility. Computer skills and knowledge of MS office full package applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Excellent common and of oral and written English and Arabic
