AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
As Sr. Regional Community Manager for MEA, you will act as a liaison between our internal Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Developer Relations teams, and the MEA community of builders. You will be the main point of contact for both AWS and third-party technical communities and user groups, setting up and nurturing communities in a path of organic and sustainable growth. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining symbiotic relationships with prominent developers who are influential in the cloud development arena, providing them with tools and resources to share knowledge of AWS at scale within their networks. This role is a hybrid, part community manager, part program manager, where you will define and drive messaging, establish engagement tactics and investments, implement global and local programs, and support community events and marketing to drive advocacy of AWS within their networks.
Key job responsibilities
. Own and program manage MEA Community advocacy strategy to engage with passionate developers and builders who seek to acquire Cloud and AWS skills.
. Drive event strategy, execution, and measurement for community engagement at AWS-led and third-party events
. Scale existing community awareness programs in MEA (AWS User Groups, AWS Community Day events, and more), as well as innovating net-new community initiatives relevant to the region.
. Drive program content and messaging, mange ongoing MEA program communication, recurring events, & management/onboarding of program members in partnership with internal stakeholders.
. Manage budgets, report on metrics, and discuss progress of the community initiatives with leadership, evolving strategy as needed to align to shifting community needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

– Experience in professional non-internship marketing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
– Experience prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals
– Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
– Understanding of developer audiences and experience supporting & growing tech communities
